Refund Policy

How cancellations, plan upgrades and add-on charges work on Spilix, and why fees are non-refundable.

1. All fees are non-refundable

All payments made to Spilix are final and non-refundable. This applies to subscription fees (Artist and Label plans), renewal charges, add-on fees and any other one-time charges, whether or not you use the service during the period you paid for. Spilix does not issue pro-rata or partial refunds for unused time, cancellation mid-term, or a change of mind. When you upgrade to a higher-priced plan, the unused part of your current plan is applied as a credit against the upgrade charge at the moment of the upgrade; that credit is never paid out as a refund, and the upgrade charge itself is final. The two exceptions are a billing error (Section 5) and the case where Spilix discontinues the service or terminates your account through no fault of yours, in which the unused part of your plan and annual add-on fees (other than Cover Song License) is refunded pro rata (Terms of Service, Section 11).

By purchasing a plan or add-on you request that the service begin immediately and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, acknowledge that you waive any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period once the service has started.

2. Cancellation and auto-renewal

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from the Billing page of your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and is not renewed after that. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before the renewal date; a renewal charge that has already been processed is not refunded.

Plan changes: you can upgrade to a higher-priced plan at any time (see Section 3 of the Terms of Service). Downgrading to a lower-priced plan is not available. The only alternative to keeping your current plan is to cancel auto-renewal as described above; once the paid period ends you may subscribe to any plan again, and your catalog is taken down in between as described in Section 4.

3. Add-on services

Add-ons — Content ID, Cover Song License, Pre-save Unlimited, Fast Release, Publishing Admin and any other optional service Spilix lists on the Pricing page or in the dashboard from time to time (for example new formats or distribution channels such as Dolby Atmos or music video) — are billed separately from your subscription and are non-refundable once purchased. Annual add-ons (Content ID, Cover Song License, Pre-save Unlimited, Publishing Admin) renew automatically at the end of each period and the renewal charge is likewise non-refundable; you can turn off renewal for each add-on in the dashboard (Services, on the add-on's detail page) before the renewal date and it stays active until the end of the paid period. This rule applies to every add-on launched later, unless the description of that add-on states different conditions at the time of purchase. Content ID and Publishing Admin begin work immediately upon activation, and Fast Release is non-refundable once the release goes live.

4. What happens to your catalog

Your releases are distributed only while your subscription is active. Cancelling auto-renew does not take anything down immediately: your catalog stays live until the end of the period you paid for. When that period ends without renewal, or when your account is closed, Spilix sends takedown requests for all of your releases to the DSPs and they are removed from the stores (usually within a few days, depending on the store). Royalties earned before takedown remain yours and can be withdrawn from the Revenue page. If you resubscribe later, you can redeliver your releases.

5. Billing errors

Apart from the pro-rata case in Section 11 of the Terms of Service, the only exception to this policy is a genuine billing error — for example a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled auto-renewal before the renewal date, an amount that does not match the published price, or an upgrade charge that differs from the amount shown to you before you confirmed the upgrade. Email billing@spilix.co within 60 days of the charge with your account email and the transaction details; confirmed errors are corrected to your original payment method through Dodo Payments, typically within 5–10 business days after confirmation.

Please contact Spilix before disputing a charge with your bank: a chargeback on a correct charge is handled under Section 21 of the Terms of Service (account suspension, catalog takedown, deduction of the chargeback fee). Corrections and refunds are free of charge to you; Spilix bears any refund processing fee charged by the payment provider. Differences caused by exchange rates or foreign-currency fees applied by your card issuer are outside Spilix's control.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country that cannot be excluded by agreement.
