Which cookies and browser storage Spilix uses, why, and how to change your choice at any time.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website, so the site can recognise your browser later — for example to keep you signed in. Spilix also uses your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in a similar way but are never sent to our servers.

This Policy lists every cookie and storage item that Spilix and its providers set on spilix.co, and explains how to control them.

2. Types of cookies we use

• Essential: needed to run the service. One cookie, spilix_session, keeps you signed in to your dashboard. It cannot be switched off without breaking login, so it does not require consent.

• Analytics (optional): Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages are used and where people get stuck. These cookies are set only after you choose "Accept all" in the cookie notice. If you choose "Essential only", the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all.

• Advertising (optional): cookies from our advertising partners — currently Google Ads and Meta — record whether you reached Spilix from one of our ads, so we can measure which ads lead to sign-ups and purchases, and let us show Spilix ads to people who have visited the site. They are also set only after you choose "Accept all"; with "Essential only", no advertising cookies are set. Every advertising partner is listed in this Policy, and we ask for your consent again before adding a new one.

3. Specific cookies

The table below lists every cookie set on spilix.co:

In addition, Spilix stores the following values in your browser's localStorage. They are not cookies and are never sent to our servers: spilix.locale (your language), spilix.cookieConsent (your cookie choice), spilix.rememberMe (whether "Remember me" was checked), and spilix.addon_pending (an add-on checkout in progress). Short-lived caches of dashboard data, such as analytics summaries, are kept in sessionStorage and cleared when you close the tab.

4. Third-party services

• Google Analytics (only with your consent): collects page views, events such as sign-ups and purchases, device and browser information, and a truncated IP address. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

• Google Ads (only with your consent): records the ad click that brought you to Spilix and whether it led to a sign-up or purchase, and lets us show Spilix ads to people who visited the site. Google may also set its own cookies on Google domains for this. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

• Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (only with your consent): the Meta Pixel records the ad click that brought you to Spilix and page views; our server sends Meta, through the Conversions API, the sign-up (when you verify your email) or purchase that followed, with your email address and account number in hashed form and, for a sign-up, the IP address and browser of the sign-up request, so we can measure which Meta ads lead to sign-ups and purchases and show Spilix ads to people who visited the site. Meta may also set its own cookies on Meta domains (facebook.com, instagram.com) for this. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.

• Dodo Payments: the checkout runs in a Dodo Payments overlay, which may set its own cookies for payment authentication and fraud prevention.

• Amazon CloudFront: delivers our files. It does not set cookies, but like any web server it logs the IP address of each request.

Spilix does not control cookies set by third parties. Refer to each provider's privacy policy for details.

5. Managing your choice

• Changing your choice: your choice is kept in your browser's localStorage (spilix.cookieConsent). To change it, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings; the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit. Clearing site data also removes any Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta cookies, and if you then choose "Essential only" they are not set again.

• Browser settings: all modern browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. Blocking or deleting spilix_session will sign you out.

• Clearing site data for spilix.co resets your language, your cookie choice, and the "Remember me" preference.

Your cookie choice is stored in localStorage on the device and browser you used, so you may be asked again on another device.

6. Policy updates

We will update this Policy and the table above whenever we add or remove a cookie. If we add a new non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent again before setting it.
