How earnings reach your bank account.

• How much of my royalties do you keep? — For each reporting period, the royalties collected from stores (after any withholding tax) are reduced by a flat 10% Spilix distribution fee, and the remaining 90% is credited to your Spilix Wallet (Terms, Section 6). There are no per-release fees and no label-style revenue share. Content ID is separate: Spilix takes a 20% commission on the revenue it claims for you (you keep 80%), and Publishing Admin carries a 15% commission on collected publishing royalties.
• When and how do I get paid? — Stores report and pay royalties into your Spilix Wallet each month. Once your available balance reaches $100, you can request a withdrawal from the Revenue page to the SWIFT bank account registered in your dashboard; below that, the balance simply carries over to the next month. Bank and intermediary transfer fees are deducted from the payout.
• Why is my royalty reporting delayed? — Reporting lags the listening month by roughly two to three months because that’s the schedule the streaming services themselves report on — not a Spilix delay.
• Can I split earnings with collaborators? — Not automatically. All royalties for a release are credited to the Wallet of the account that distributes it, and only the account owner can request payouts. You can see earnings per release and per artist on the Revenue page and pay collaborators yourself from that report.
• Is a Spilix advance a loan? Is there interest? — Not a loan. This is an advance — Spilix buys forward a portion of your future royalties. No interest. If revenue doesn’t hit projections, you don’t owe — the risk is on Spilix.
• How long does an advance take to recoup? — Depends on advance size and streaming velocity. Project advance typically recoups in 6-18 months. Catalog advance in 12-36 months. After recoup, 100% royalty flows back to you as usual.
• What if my catalog doesn’t recoup fully? — You don’t owe Spilix anything. The risk is entirely on us. That’s why we evaluate carefully before making an offer.
• Are there other advance fees? — No setup fees, no hidden fees. Spilix only earns the margin between the advance amount and royalty recouped (typically 10-20% margin per case).
• Can I apply for both advance types? — Yes. Many artists apply for catalog advance first for working capital, then project advance for a specific big release.
